Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu International Student Exchange Programs Scholarship For Female Undergraduate Students

Overview

The Scholarship program was created to honor the late Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu’s dedication to advancing women in our society by offering scholarships that support female undergraduate students at Özyeğin University in participating in international exchange, internship, and short-term programs.

This scholarship application is intended for students placed in Erasmus+ or Global Exchange programs for Spring 2024/25. Interested students can find further information in the Eligibility Criteria below. Please note that additional calls for internships and short-term programs may be announced for Summer 2025 in the upcoming months.

Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduate female students seeking to gain intercultural and academic experience through international exchange programs. This scholarship may partially cover living expenses and travel costs during the exchange period, with a maximum amount of up to 5.000 USD per student. The funds will be provided in two instalments (Details about the payment scheme will be provided to the scholarship recipients). Please note that each student will receive the scholarship as a one-time benefit during their undergraduate studies. The availability of this scholarship depends on funding, the number of applicants, and the evaluation by the Selection Commission.

Students who wish to apply for the Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu International Student Exchange Programs Scholarship must submit their application form (below) by Monday, February 17, 2025, at 4 pm. The results will be announced in early March 2025.

Eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:

• Applicants must be female undergraduate students who are:
  1. Placed to one of the Erasmus+ student mobility program partner institutions for Spring 2024/2025 and are not receiving an Erasmus+ grant,
  2. Placed to one of the Global Exchange partner institutions for Spring 2025 and not receiving any external financial support,
  3. In good academic standing with a min. CGPA of 3.00/4.00,
  4. Non-Turkish citizens are welcome to apply for the scholarship to participate in an exchange outside of their home country only. (International students intending to participate in the Global Exchange semester in their home countries are not eligible for this scholarship.)
  5. Applicants must be in good disciplinary standing.
     
     

Application

• Applications will be collected by the International Exchange and Partnership Programs (IEPP) office via the Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu International Student Exchange Programs Scholarship Application Form until Monday, February 17, 2025, by 4 pm.
• Students are expected to explain their motivation for applying to this scholarship and include information about their background and financial status, if applicable.
• Late applications will not be considered.
  
  

 Evaluation

• Initial Screening: IEPP will initially review applications for eligibility and completeness.
• Evaluation by Selection Commission: The Selection Commission will evaluate eligible applications, and students will be invited to an interview. If need be, the Commission may ask applicants to submit additional documents.
• The interviews are planned to be organized between February 20 and 28, 2025. The interviews may take place either online or in person. Each student will receive an invitation by email to attend the interview.
• If multiple applications have the same score, students who are close to graduating will be prioritized. If these students are graduating at the same time, their CGPAs will be considered.

Notification of Results

All applicants will be notified of their scholarship application status via email in early March 2025. Recipients will be invited to sign a scholarship agreement form.
