Ataol Behramoğlu was at our university

Ataol Behramoğlu, Turkish author and poet, was the guest of our university for a November 10 Remembrance Day event our Faculty of Law hosted in remembrance of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.  Mr. Behramoğlu met the Özyeğin students and faculty on November 11, 2019 on the Özyeğin Univesity Çekmeköy Campus. The talk started with a video screening for his poem “Questions to Myself and Everyone Else”. The video screening was followed by a talk by Behramoğlu on “Atatürk, Republic, and Enlightenment”. Mr. Behramoğlu then answered the questions of students during a Q&A session moderated by Assistant Professor Akın Kıvrakdal, a member of the Faculty of Law at Özyeğin University.  Students showed a great interest in the program, which was followed by a book signing event where Mr. Ataol Behramoğlu signed his books for his readers.
