Title: What is music therapy? (and what it isn't)

Abstract: This lecture will start with describing what music therapy is and examining common misunderstandings around the subject. Several music therapy orientations such as psychodynamic music therapy, behavioral music therapy and Nordoff-Robbins music therapy will be explained. An evidence-based intervention process will be looked at and excerpts from music therapy sessions will be shown.
