We Bid Farewell to the Class of 2025 with Our Commencement Ceremony as They Embark on Their New Journey

Today, we celebrated the 2026 Commencement Ceremony, marking the culmination of a remarkable journey that began at Özyeğin University and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our graduates.

Mr. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin, our Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees; President Prof. Barış Tan; our graduates; faculty; families; and distinguished guests joined us on campus to witness one of the most memorable moments for the Class of 2026.

In his opening remarks, our President Prof. Barış Tan, emphasized that our graduates leave the University vested not only with knowledge and skills but also with a strong sense of awareness.  “Ultimately, the true measure of a university's success is the success of its graduates,” he said, encouraging the Class of 2026 to always remain curious, never lose their courage, and pursue dreams that will make a positive contribution to humanity.

Hüsnü M. Özyeğin, Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University, described Commencement as one of the most memorable days of the year, a day when he sees the dream he envisioned many years ago continue to bear fruit with each graduating class. Addressing the graduates, he said, “You are the most valuable legacy of Özyeğin University, and the ones who will leave a lasting mark on the future.” He reminded them that while achievement matters, true success is defined by character, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to science.

During the ceremony, Prof. Atilla Ansal was awarded the title of Emeritus Professor in recognition of his distinguished contributions to academia and to Özyeğin University. The ceremony also recognized the outstanding achievements of our Valedictorians, Salutatorian, and Third Honors recipient, as we joined our doctoral, master's, and undergraduate graduates in celebrating this remarkable milestone.
