Özyeğin University Hosted Executives from Lenovo for Research Collaboration on AI

Özyeğin University hosted executives from Lenovo for a visit to explore potential research collaborations in the field of artificial intelligence. Representatives from Lenovo included Tolga Kurtoğlu, CTO; Oğuz Elibol, AI Architect; and Burç San, Lenovo Country Manager. The meeting was attended by a delegation from Özyeğin University, including Prof. Barış Tan, President; Prof. İrşadi Aksun, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Impact; Prof. Tanju Erdem, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Örsan Özener, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Director of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering; Nida Bektaş, Director of Corporate and Global Partnerships; and Asst. Prof. İsmail Arı, TTO and Entrepreneurship Director.

The discussions focused on identifying potential areas for collaboration between two institutions while our faculty members presented current artificial intelligence research to the Lenovo executives. Following the meeting, Lenovo representatives visited our Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratories, where they engaged with our PhD students and gained firsthand insights into our advanced research initiatives.
