Our President Prof. Barış Tan Hosts the Consul General of Pakistan on Campus

Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan hosted Mr. Nauman Aslam, the Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul, along with Consul Uzair Mahmood Ghumman, on campus. The meeting aimed to foster cultural, diplomatic, and academic collaborations between the two countries. Following the discussions, a Pakistan Collection Corner was inaugurated in the university library as a testament to our strong ties with Pakistan and the significant presence of international students from Pakistan at Özyeğin University. The collection features works in Turkish, Urdu, and English.

Prof. Barış Tan and Consul General Nauman Aslam attended the opening ceremony in the library. Afterward, a student meeting was held at the Reşat Aytaç Auditorium. During the session, Prof. Tan and Consul General Aslam discussed the historical ties between Türkiye and Pakistan, emphasized the importance of internationalization in higher education, and encouraged students to explore different cultures during their academic journeys. Prof. Tan and Consul General Aslam also addressed topics related to career development and Middle Eastern diplomacy and responded to questions from the audience.
