2023-2024 Academic Year Peer Advising Program Applications Is Continuing!

The Program As a Volunteer Peer Advisor!

A volunteer Peer Advisor has an important opportunity to help new students to adapt to the university life and the culture at OzU, while at the same time gaining important skills and achievements for the future.

What Skills and Competencies Does a Peer Advisor Gain?

                                                                           o Communication Skill,

                                                                           o Ability to Engage in Teamwork,

                                                                           o Team Building Skills,

                                                                           o Time Management Skill,

                                                                           o Leadership Skills,

                                                                           o Problem Solving Competence

The expected time for each peer advisor to develop the above skills and abilities and allocate the academic year to achieve various educational records is approximately 2 hours per week.

Application Requirements

• To be accessible by e-mail and phone during the summer of 2023,
• To be registered relevant Faculty or School of the University in the 2022-2023 Academic Year and to have studied for at least one academic year,
• To have successfully completed the SEC 101 – Introduction to University Life Course within one academic year,
• Having 2.5 and above average, not general, in the current period,
• They have graduated at the end of the 2023 Fall Semester,
• Not having received any disciplinary action from the academic staff to which they are registered at the university,
• Fully answering the question in the Application  Form, in the Peer Advisor role.
• Being able to return to the expedition the week before the orientation week of the 2023-2024 academic year.

           Selection Process

            June 19-26 ,2023

Evaluation is made based on the criteria specified by the Peer Advisor Program Commission. The candidate selected by the commission attends the interview. Candidates who successfully complete the interview will receive a notification e-mail stating that they have been accepted to the Peer Advisor Program.
